travel cruising the world royal princess hawaii

Once again, we needed a real break.
I had architectural deadlines... Lynn had been taking care of her mother (99) who was living with us... and, we had juist had a pipe break and flood our master bedroom.
After catching Covid on our Alaska cruise the year before, we decided it would now be safe to take a Hawaii cruise where we would have access to US doctors in case of an emergency.
We flew to San Francisco and cruised to Maui, Hawaii, Oahu, and back to Ensendada then San Francisco on the Royal Princess, a larger ship than we had cruised on before.
We had cruise credits from our Alaska cruise and applied them to the Hawaii cruise.
Because initial cruise prices were low, and we had the credits, at the last minute we made a bid to upgrade from an inside stateroom to a partial-obstructed balcony stateroom.
We bid the lowest we could ($100 each) for the 15 day cruise and got the balcony suite which was only barely obstructed by one of the tenders hanging on the side off the ship.
Starting with four days at sea, we got a chance to relax before we reached Hawaii... by that time, I felt like a new man.
We enjoyed our days at sea with games, some great entertainment, and all the food we could eat.
All in all, a much needed and greatly appreciated vacation.
